Easter!

Easter weekend was filled with family and fun! We started off the weekend with a trip to Nacadoches with Susan, Christy and Claire! We got to see the wedding site and Maddie and Claire got to practice their flower girl walks! They were precious, they hadn't quite figured out the left together right together, but they are getting it! Its an outdoor site, so of course I was more focused on watching the ground and trees for those pesky evil beast called SNAKES! ughhhh! but luckily none were seen by me! Sawyer of course had a grand time running around, A lil afraid of how he will do, but he is best man #2 LOL!

Saturday morning was the church egg hunt! Sawyer was in awe with his very first egg hunt, of course he thought the eggs were balls, until he discovered there was candy inside, then he rushed to pick up as many as his lil basket would hold! Brother Carlton also shared the Easter story with the kiddos, they got to sit on the stage where the set of the Sacrafice was, it was so neat, but I think Sawyer really just wanted to climb the hill to the crosses and then slide down! Maddie of course only picked up "girl" eggs, if they were blue or green she wouldn't pick them up, once she picked up a camo egg and was like OMG that is so boy and threw it back!

Saturday evening  was spent at Uncle Larry and Aunt Lindas, We celebrated Easter and Spring Birthdays! The girls got to color eggs, and Sawyer chunked them, then we did a few egg hunts, Sawyer thought it was great fun to hide them in the potato garden! LOL Then of course the Peeps contest and the Hot Air contest which I won! i bet you never would have guessed! LOL.

Sunday morning we went to Church and Celebrated our Risen Savior, it was such an amazing service, and they performed the last part of the Sacrafice, and Jesus was on His throne! I am so thankful for all that Easter means! We serve a Risen Lord!
After Church we went to Aunt Pams for a Hot dog hamburger grill out and egg hunt, Maddie decided it was ok to pick up "boy" eggs because they were prize eggs and some had money in them, funny what a  lil money motivation will do to a kiddo!

All in all we had an awesome weekend celebrating Jesus and his Resurection and hunting eggs!

Hope you all had a blessed and fun filled weekend too!

Melons and Marmalade

When life gives you melons make marmalade? dunno who came up with that but i heard it the other day and it has stuck, mainly i guess cause we are not a real lemony family, due to the fact that rob can't stand the thought of lemon, much less to eat it! ha ha so lemonade is out of the question~! anyway life has been rolling along at a pace so fast its hard to keep up with sometimes! We have been so busy these past few weeks, i actually had to pull out a calendar to keep track of plans and times and events! This past weekend we got to watch my cousin Katlyn preform in the Mavette show, which Madison thought was amazing! This weekend we will get to watch Madison grace the stage along with many other girls at her dance recital! Which i will find truly amazing! She doesn't have a lot of grace yet and her balance isn't quite stable, but the smile that stretches across her face when she takes the stage to preform will be one that melts my heart!

The Sacrifice is also taking place this weekend, Rob has practice every night this week to get ready for this performance, I am so thankful to all the wonderful church family that devote their time and energy into this performance, in hopes that it will change lives! and i know it will, please if you are able make it to one of the shows, it will bless you I promise!! Friday- Sunday at IBC starting at 7 each night, and they have childcare!

I have started running, OK i have ran like 3 times in the last week, but I am improving, i can pretty much run a full mile with minimal stops! i have also been doing baby workouts, with my almost 2 year old who weighs in at roughly 30 lbs, ha ha believe me a squat holding him is HARD! but i am managing! Flat tummy by May! ha ha high hopes but at least to drop a few :)

Well thats all i can Jam into this post, hope you all have a blessed week! and if life gives you melons make some marmalade :)

Caleb Parker Brother!

What an exciting week we have had! Caleb Parker Nafe arrived on March 29th, My moms birthday! It was an awesome day, I made it to the hospital just before Sarah started pushing, so i just got a few minutes with her, but Im glad i got to see her, about 10 minutes after i left her room, Caleb had arrived, what a handsom little man he is!! Madison, Kate, and Natalie were all watching that nursery window for little Caleb parker Brother has kate has officialy named him! LOL He is a healthy 8lb 5 oz lil boy! Dissapointed we had to leave the hospital before officialy getting to meet him to do dance class, so i promised we would come back later, so after dance we bee-lined back to the hospital only to find Caleb in the nursery being monitored and not in the room with sarah! Dissapointed again, so then we went to celebrate moms birthday at Olive Garden, with high hopes to get back in time to squeeze in a small visit before visiting hours were up! Robbie had bible study that night so he didn't go to the OG, which meant after bible study he went and got to MEET caleb before me! OO NO!! well the next day was wednesday which meant work and awanas so no visiting time for me! :( so finally thursday afternoon i got my hands on my newest Nephew!!! He loves his sheesha i can already tell!!
so glad that he is here, and everyone is healthy and happy!
Kate is doing great at getting used to having little brother at home!!

In other cunningham news, it is School registration day! YIKES!

O the Fun we Will Have!

I am amazed at Gods handiwork sometimes, He knows our struggles and answers in ways we never expect! As per my last blog, prayer has been my struggle lately, really truly just going to God first, well I walk in to Sunday school last Sunday, a few minutes late as always, but just in time to hear the title of today's lesson "PRAY FIRST AND PRAY MOST! yep Max Lucado and Mike Burks were Gods puppets in getting the message about prayer i needed to me! How amazing! I sat in my chair with my OK God you are listening thoughts and soaked it in!

Game Night was awesome! My little house was host to 27 people 11 the age 5 or younger! and it Survived, amazingly it was actually pretty clean! The girls totally rocked Catch Phrase!

Made to Crave has started, and its going to be a great study, but i do wish that all of Marshall would cooperate by shutting down all fast food options, and maybe the sno-cone place too! Though I did not indulge in the awesome pizza that the kiddos ate for lunch!  I just kept saying, Lord help me not to indulge, rather than Lord make this pizza have the same calories as a carrot stick! ha ha

I babysat for the Morse's today, just a few hours, but honestly my anxiety kicked in a few hours after i agreed, they have a lil boy sawyers age and a lil girl who is almost 3, i assume you guess why i was afraid, TWO BOYS sawyers age, O LORD! but i was soon surprised that the task was not hard at all, the kiddos were wonderful and I guess once you are used to my lil man, all other kiddos are a breeze :)!

recital pictures are done, i can't wait to see them, Maddie was a true performer, posing and cheesing it up for all too see, A lady was like "look at those eyes, i bet she never gets in trouble" I laughed and said they aren't as innocent as the look! LOL  Dance is hitting it hard these last 3 weeks before they show, Maddie is sooo pumped! she can't wait to be on stage! I'm excited to watch, i wonder how many actually will do the dance and how many will stand and wave! :) Mine will prolly be dancing, just not the dance she learned!

Caleb Parker Nafe arrives tomorrow, i can't wait to meet my new lil "nephew"! Praying for a safe, easy delivery, and a not so big healthy baby! LOL

The Power of Prayer

Prayer, its simple isn't it, we simply carry on a conversation with our best friend, our Savior, but yet most of us have a really hard time stopping to pray. We question every aspect of it, should I ask for this, or is it to trivial for God, should i say this, or is it not enough to express my love for Him. I have pondered these same questions over and over in my prayer life. The easiest time it seems to pray is when we are in the middle of tragedy or fear, but then our prayers are mostly bargains. "God if you get me out of this, I'll do this." Why is it that prayer is so complicated for most of us? I have come to the conclusion for me is that i do better when i see others reactions and know how they will respond, because then i prepare my statements for that person, but with God, he doesn't always answer us the same, He doesn't carry the conversation back, He listens, and He answers, in His own powerful way. So the last few weeks I have tried to just lay it out there, say whatever i need to say, whenever i feel the urge to pray i do, and its made a significant difference in my prayer life, I don't enter it with confusion or hold back any request, and though I'm unsure of how He will answer, I rejoice in knowing that He will!

In other news of the Cunningham Clan, Easter pics were a success I am in love with all of them! i will share a few:
O how i do love my babies!

Hope you all have a fabulous week!
